Good eats.

Skyler enjoyed his first corn dog yesterday.  I ate 3 and he ate 2!  I grilled up some Greek chicken quarters for dinner and made Altair a Mojito.  She was actually home by 5:00 yesterday.  Woo Hoo!

Swimming!

I took him over to my parent's house for a swim yesterday.  It was 97 degrees and today it's supposed to hit 100.  He had a great time and really enjoyed splashing.  Mostly he really enjoyed splashing Grandpa.

John Deere day!

We went to my former place of employment yesterday for their open house.  It was pretty good and Skyler had the greatest time sitting on all the tractors.  I think he sat on almost everything that had a seat!  Just like when I was a kid and visited a JD dealership, he got to pick out a toy.

Tired and tacos.

Skyler seems extra tired this week.  I guess it matches his parents.  I made some street tacos for dinner last night.  Mmmm!!

A day without Mommy.

We never saw Mommy yesterday.  She was still at work at 9:30 when it was time for bed.  Skyler was a handful, he threw the biggest temper tantrum ever after we left Grandpa's house.  I managed to get her mom's house sprayed and fertilized and took Maizey dog for a walk (and a swim in the canal) while Grandpa watched him.  Today is Maizey dog's "birthday"!  She's 5 now and starting to gray a little.  She's been by my side nearly every single day since we adopted her.  What a good dog!
These Prickly Pear cactus' are along the canal road.  Gorgeous!

Hard to see it, but the damn Hesston swather still sits in the field.  I guess he gave up.

Skyler helped dry the fertilizer spreader yesterday afternoon.

He was saying "wiping, wiping" as he worked.

The birthday dog. :)

The swather.

We went over to work on the neighbors Hesston swather yesterday.  Skyler thought it was great, I did not.  Lets just say there's a reason I love John Deere equipment. :)

Poppies.

The purple flowers are wild mustard.  They smell great.

Day two of the sandbox.  We spent almost 3 hours playing in the sand yesterday.

Someone got a sandbox!

I finally caved and made Skyker a sandbox yesterday.  I used a kiddie pool and 450 pounds of sand.  There's a second kiddie pool that serves double duty, a pool and the lid for his sandbox.  He absolutely loves it as you can see!

It even fits his excavator!

A lovely sunset to a great weekend.  Today is the start of Altair working the next 14 days.  Sigh...

Doesn't everyone make homemade hickory smoked bacon?

Biking and a bucket truck.

We rode the Bonneville Shoreline Trail up near the U of U yesterday.  Maizey dog tagged along and we had a great time!  A much needed bike ride always makes a person feel good.  Afterwards, I hauled some patio furniture for my sis using Princess truck.  This is when I saw quite possibly the worlds biggest bucket truck!  Then we went to Altair's  mom's house  so I could till her garden.  I'm pretty sore today, it will be an R&R day today.
This was our pre-ride fuel.  Breakfast burritos.  I used 4 pieces of bacon, 3 eggs, one tomato, some cilantro, canned green chili's, a little onion and some shredded Mexican cheese.  Spoon it into a warmed flour tortilla and add some Macayo hot sauce.  Mmm, Mmm, good!

Getting ready.  Maizey dog was off leash and followed us the entire time.

The view looking North from the mouth of Emigration canyon.

Looking east toward the Wasatch range.  It's so green and lush!

She was getting hot so it was time for a dip in the creek.

Altair holding my "tractor bike" while the dog cools.  Look at those tires!

Single track on the way back down to the truck.  I think even Maizey loved this trail.

My beautiful (but not wanting her picture taken) riding partner.

The world's largest bucket truck!

I think the bucket could hold ten men and it could quite possibly reach the moon when extended!  HUGE!

Lunch with Mommy.

After chasing down an ultra rare JD model 71 planter yesterday, ( I think I found one, waiting for a call) we joined Mommy for lunch at Apollo Burger.  So good!  Skyler enjoyed the french fries as well.
Hi-C fruit punch!

Looking out while we wait for our meal.

A mouthful of french fries.  And fry sauce everywhere!

Dipping some fries.

My double cheeseburger and fries.  Some of the fries were Skyler's  He also had the chicken nuggets but didn't care for them.

Mommy had a Greek salad.

So sad to leave mommy. :(
