Ann's trail.

Mommy and I loaded up and headed to Corner Canyon to ride the epic Ann's single track trail yesterday.  It was some difficult riding but totally worth it.

Shitty air below.  :(

Here comes Mommy!

4.8" tires were definitely required.

Yuck.

Twinky little stream.

Mommy rounding the bend.

Cold running water.

It was a delight to escape our winter inversion air in the valley.

Someone made a snowman!

Winter seed catalogs.

We've started to receive our seed catalogs already.  It's always nice to look through them and imagine the warm weather and enjoying the garden mid winter.  Skyler seems to think so too!  I caught him flipping through the Jung's seed catalog yesterday.  :)

Enjoying a grilled cheese with a glass of milk and reading about sweet corn.  No doubt he's mine!

Winter beauty.

Both Mommy and the setting sun are the beauties.

Next month will mark our 15 year anniversary of our first date.  :)

Fat Bike Fail.

We initially attempted to ride the road in Millcreek Canyon but there were WAY too many people to even get out of the truck.  Plan B was to ride Round Valley.  We headed up Parley's and arrived about 30 minutes later.  We unloaded and everything sorta fell apart.  Mostly Skyler fell apart.  For some reason, the snow was causing him major trepidation and LOTS of whining.  It was COLD!  We only rode 1.5 miles but at least he completed the loop.  Sigh...

Ready!

Here they come!  I had to ride ahead to show him it wasn't very far.

"Please get back on your bike" said Mommy.

Up the hill.

He would get mad if we passed him.

Taking another break.

Downhill!

He had to pedal downhill to keep going.  Poor little guy.

Passing me.

Climbing again.

Doing great!

Looking a little more confident.

Happy?

Done.  He wanted to turn around.  Good job Skyler!

Future E.E.?

Skyler got a little electrical circuit kit for Christmas.  He's definitely got some Electrical Engineer in him, he figured it out pretty quick!

Attaching the "alligator" clips.

Carefully!

Light!

He made a circuit!

Christmas.

Everyone had a wonderful Christmas again this year.

Christmas Eve at Grandma White's.  Jaina is reading to Skyler.

Cookies and hot chocolate.

Santa was very good to Skyler this year.

There's a vicious hunter waiting in the spent paper!

Pounce!

Playing "go fish" with Mommy using his new card holder.

Enjoying some bubbly in a "Christmas Vacation" glass (courtesy of my sister) while watching "Christmas Vacation" last night.

The best present, getting to clear nearly a foot of snow in my heated cab with Skyler.

Merry Christmas!!

He got some new Charlie Brown Christmas jams last night.  :)

Bubble boy!

Or as Skyler said, "this is why you call me Bubbs!"

He added shampoo to the running jets in the tub.  Loads of bubbles!

So much fun!

Disappearing boy!

Continuing the bubble theme for the day, I ran a "tub clean" cycle on the washing machine.  Skyler had to watch it make lots of bubbles.

Christmas hike.

We hiked up toward Desolation, connected with Thayne's, and headed up Thayne's yesterday morning.  Conditions were perfect and everyone got some much needed exercise.

Starting out smelling the smelly smells.

Here comes Skyler!

Joined by Mommy.

Evergreen greatness.

Mommy bringing up the rear in her Russian hat.

Follow the leader.

"Boo!"  Trying to scare us by jumping out from behind the tree.

It had just snowed 24 hours earlier and the trees were fantastic!

"What?"  Looking for Chucky squirrel.

Run up the trail!

Someone needed a walking stick.

Marshmallow trail conditions.

I wrote his name in the snow since someone else had written the M.

Maizey took off after Chucky squirrel.

Can you see her tail?

Here she comes!
A clearing we stumbled on once we were up Thayne's canyon.

Conifer and cloud greatness.

"Chucky?"

Headed down Thayne's canyon.  There's a shelter up ahead.

Skyler found it.

And headed inside.  He donated his walking stick to the shelter structure.  :)
