So good!

This was one of Skyler's favorite books when he was little.  Caterpillar did an amazing job on this!

Hot air balloon ride!

Albeit only a one minute flight.

Getting in the basket.

Here they go!  The burners are 23 million BTU's!!

Glowing!

Bug!

Skyler says this praying mantis is female.  She has been hanging around the front porch for the last few days.

She can change color too!  She was a light tan the day before I took this pic.

Waiting.

Skyler was waiting by the window for Grandpa to walk over yesterday afternoon.

Not pictured, the tiny chair he is standing on.

20 minutes a day.

Skyler is supposed to read 20 minutes a day for school.  We've been reading a book about The Manhattan Project and each taking a turn reading it aloud.

Friday night relaxing and reading. :)

A project.

We stripped the sod off of the east yard a month or so ago in order to help conserve water in the desert.  I found these pavers at Lowe's and they were delivered Monday.

They're remarkably easy to work with.

Wow!

Food pic dump.

We've been enjoying the last days of summer eating BBQ on the patio.

Try tip with an Asian marinade.

More try tip.  It was butter tender.

Skyler and I enjoyed some California burgers while Mommy was at a work dinner.

Homemade T.V. dinners while Skyler was with Karen.  Pork souvlaki with home grown zucchini and mashed potatoes.  We're both hooked on the new HBO series "House of The Dragon."

Ribs and BBQ baked beans!

Man, this was delicious.

We had our own Greek Festival last night.  Chicken Souvlaki with lemon rice and zucchini.  I had my first Boody Mary cocktail since we were in California in 2018.  Bittersweet. :(

Student government.

Skyler decided to run for student government at school this year. Today is election day.  If he wins, he would be class senator and get another "magic school jacket" that he can continue to wear when it's over 100 degrees outside.

Making campaign signs with Mommy using the CNC Silhouette cutter.
Good luck today Skyler!

Train!

Spotted last weekend while walking near the new Porter Rockwell bridge in Bluffdale.

Northbound Frontrunner.

Informative sign along the Parkway Trail.

Stuck.

I got the call from the neighbor last Monday that his swather was stuck and he needed help.  Skyler and I walked over and got him out using his loader tractor.

Urban hay field.

Stuck swather.

Nothing like growing alfalfa in the desert in a drought!

Uh oh!

Look out, we have another tractor driver!

Using the 1979 317 to haul sod from the front yard Xeriscape project.

Here comes a load of sod!

He's a hard worker, I couldn't believe how much extra help a 3rd person was.
