Dump truck return.

He wanted his giant Caterpillar dump truck yesterday.  Somehow he still fits in the bed and can ride it along.
Scooting along.

At the playground.

Hard to believe that a year ago we were waiting for the city to finish the new playground.  We've been walking down there every evening since Friday now.  I'm not sure who has more fun on it though, Mommy seems to enjoy it too.

A whirr of motion!

Two monkeys on the monkey bars.

He is so strong!  He can go across the monkey bars numerous times now.

The pet post.

Lots of "furry kid time" this weekend.  Sadly, the animals were better behaved than Skyler was...

We got to "dog sit" Sadie & Maxwell for 24 hours.

Maizey turned into a puppy again playing with 3 year old Sadie.

Sadie was pooped!

Eddy cat wanted to go out yesterday morning but the lawn was too wet for his paws.  Solution?  Sit on the fountain!

We brought Sadie a toy Maizey was never interested in.  I think we tuckered her out!

Sewing with Mommy.

Mommy started sewing Skyler's Halloween costume yesterday.  He said a while back that he wanted to go as "Bing Bong" from the movie Inside Out.  He started out just watching Mommy, but later in the day, he started running the foot pedal on her sewing machine.

Mommy lining up the sleeve to sew.  She's pretty brave, his foot is on the pedal ready to go!

Goodbye, trusty steed.

Getting a new Ford Fusion means that we had to sell Mommy's 15 year old Mazda Protege.  She bought it new in August 2001, and I remember her at work (before I had the courage to ask her out) being so proud she finally got a new car.  It was at our wedding, made at least 2 trips to Nebraska, commuted daily first, to Clearfield, and the last 10 years to L3 up by the airport.  It was the car that we brought Skyler home in after he was born.  I've meticulously maintained it since we first dated.  She says I hated the car, but it was a reliable, nice little (too small for me) ride.  I sold it yesterday to a nice gentleman from St. George who will give it to his 16 year old daughter for her first car.  I must admit, it's a little bittersweet to see it go.  :(

It's official color was "Grace Green" which I didn't know until just this past year.  Fitting since I sometimes refer to Mommy as "Grace".  :)

Using tools.

Skyler was waiting for me to mow the other day and I caught him using the 1/2" ratchet used to remove the mower blades.
He was still a little under the weather Sunday when I took this pic.

Post birthday.

It was a great one, that's for sure!

Mommy surprised me by decorating with LED balloons and taking the day off.

LED's on the mantle.

And above the table.

Complete with a birthday breakfast cake.  Bacon!

We dropped Skyler off at school and walked around the Redwood Nature Center.

She also managed to surprise the Hell out of me by renting out the Orbital ATK conference center!!

Lovely Fall evening on the river.

Absolutely perfect weather.

And perfect food!  Sirloin!

Sick little boy.

Poor kid, he has a stomach bug.  He's staying home from school today, hopefully tomorrow is a better day.
Saturday night on the patio.  We could tell something was up the way he said he was cold.

Enjoying a S'more.

Last of the fire.

No more...

Peaches!  We've had peaches coming out of our ears around here for about 3 weeks!  Monday evening, we picked the last on the poor, overloaded tree.  I think I'll prune it back in the Spring, like 6 inches above the ground!
Two monkeys and a ladder!

Back to school night.

We attended Skyler's back to school night last night and as always, came away very impressed.  His class learned the sign language alphabet and performed it for all the parents.  His attitude toward going to school changed drastically this morning too, he was thrilled to go today!

Som Ken Block inspired playtime.

We've been playing Hotwheels after school downstairs on his play mats.

The sound effects are what make this so fun!

State Fair with Eleanor!

We met up with Eleanor and her parents at the Utah State Fair Sunday afternoon.  It wasn't the best fair, but it probably wasn't the worst either.  The kids had a fun time and that's all what matters.

He went down the big slide with Mommy!

This had government license plates on it meaning taxpayers bought it??!!

My favorite brand was there.

I was at work early in the morning when we heard that a plane had crashed into the World Trade Center.

Cruiser ride.

Mommy & I got a beach cruiser ride in on the Parkway yesterday while Skyler was in school.  We even spotted the Murray City mower.

Congratulations Mommy!

Mommy's work, OrbitalATK, hosted an awards dinner last night and honored her with an award.  We were at their private conference center at the top of Ogden canyon.  Think Overlook hotel from "The Shining".  It was pretty cool and the food was top notch!  Prime rib and possibly the best chocolate mousse I've ever had.

View from across the river.  Look at that juniper tree!

North side of the canyon.

Lots of awards.

Not a great pic, but a view of the interior.

Spider.
A lawn that rivals mine.  :)

Mommy with her award.  I'm SO proud of her and her decision to work for OrbitalATK.  She really is a rocket scientist!
