Fat Bike Fun!

Mommy and I got a Fatty ride in Friday morning while Skyler was in school.  Skyler got to ride his Fatty around the park yesterday morning.

We were at the trailhead before the sun peaked over the mountain.  It was cold!

Maizey got to trot along since it was National Dog Day.

We're pretty sure that this maple was already turning red was due to drought, not fall.  Fingers crossed...

Skyler's Kindergarten class automatically sends photos and updates via email throughout the day.  Yesterday, he presented his "all about me" worksheet to the class.  We're so lucky to have found this wonderful school!

I got more done yesterday thankfully.

I've been fortunate enough to call him my Dad for nearly 40 years.  Now Skyler is lucky enough to call him Grandpa.  Happy Birthday Dad!

Mommy's work hosted us at the local PCL ballpark last night.  We weren't sure if Skyler would make it past one inning, but he made it to the 7th!  Most of this was due to buying expensive food to keep him fed and focused.  The hamburgers and hot dogs that the park fed Orbital ATK employees and  their families were delicious!

We rode the train to the ballpark to avoid traffic and high priced parking.

Skyler spied the fire truck shopping cart at the grocery store over the weekend.  It was all he could do to refrain from making siren sounds the entire time we were in the store!

Finally, on the way back to the car, he was able to make siren noises!

We went for a bike ride Saturday morning along the Parkway.  Mommy found a tomato hornworm crossing the trail and I hit a dragon fly that stayed in my wheel for a mile or so.  The dragon fly was dizzy but didn't appear injured.  We also moved the hornworm off of the path...

Skyler learned he could climb the cottonwood tree this weekend.  He also saw Mommy painting her toes and got her to paint his toes.

He said that he wanted to stay up there all day.

We headed downtown Tuesday to see Klara off one more time.  She had the wonderful idea to visit the new Marmalade Library while we were there.  Skyler got to make some buttons and Klara even bought him a lemonade at the library cafe.

14 years.

Today marks our 14th wedding anniversary.

I got his kiddie pool out again due to the heat.  We mixed it up a bit by adding the "floatie" this time.

At the end of our grocery run Saturday, the store manager walked up and gave Skyler a balloon.   I tied it to his wrist and he carried it around the rest of the day.

Lee Kay Ponds.

We set out toward the Lee Kay ponds yesterday morning to walk the dog and get some fresh air.  Lots of birds including pelicans, and herons.  Skyler got stung twice by what we think was a hornet.  That put a damper on the rest of the walk, he was pretty upset!  He kept saying "this is the first time I've ever been stung!"  Oh the trauma...

Nice day to enjoy the outdoors.

This bird didn't like us entering its' territory!  It kept buzzing us, particularly the dog.

The pelicans were nervous that we were out walking too.
