Altair and I ventured out to Butterfield Canyon on Black Friday this year.  53 degrees in November in the mountains isn't terrible!

Kitten update.

We took all 4 to the vet yesterday afternoon because one of them (Pahket) was showing signs of not feeling well.  We have 2 males, and 2 females.  Shaggy(female) Pahket(female) Mr. Mischef(male) and Kinx(male) are the contending names for now.  They were definitely the stars at the vet yesterday, everyone there working had to come say hello.  They all got a de-wormer and go back in 2 weeks for a de-worming booster and vaccinations.  The Vet. warned us that Pahket might not make it but she is already showing signs of recovery as of last night.

What the hell have we done?!

Altair and I saw 6 coal black kittens north of the canal road on our walk last Sunday evening.  Fast forward to the next 4 walks that I did by myself throughout the week, and no signs of the kittens.  Thursday, I saw the momma standing guard over her kittens.

Well, Friday night, we find said kittens without their mom.  She got hit on the road sometime in the last 24 hours.  There were 5 kittensFriday night when we dropped off some kitten chow.  Yesterday, we grabbed 3 tiny black kittens and then one other a couple of hours later.

I snapped this pic last Sunday not knowing our lives were about to change 5 days later.

CAP model rocketry event.

I helped out with the Squadron model rocketry event Saturday. It was delightful to see the kids reactions to launching their rockets!
