Lagoon!

Our last Summer Vacation activity was a trip to Lagoon the day before school started.  Skyler had been asking to go all summer and everything (including discount passes) worked out.  The girls from down the street joined us as well as Karen & Matt and everyone had a splendid time.

Our first ride was the newly re-furbished "Terroride".  Skyler wanted to ride with the girls.  He wasn't scared at all.

He sat down and watched it go by.  We have a new operator, she did a fantastic job this time!

Last day of vacation.

Whew!  We made it.  I still have hundreds of photos and videos to share but I think you get the gist of it.

20 years ago a baby bison was chased by coyotes and fell into this spring.  His skull is still visible in the bottom however, the early morning light prevented me from getting a good photo.

We read that the pool smelled like "beef stew" for a couple of week after his death!

We got to see Castle Geyser erupt for over 15 minutes!  It only erupts twice a day.

Yellowstone trip; day 4 part 1.

We're in the home stretch folks!  Only a few hundred pictures to go!

We got up early Wednesday and had our complimentary breakfast at the hotel.  We checked out and headed into the park.  The plan was to zoom through to the South end of the park and spend the morning at Grand Teton National Park.  Well, we got distracted at Old Faithful geyser complex again so we got a much later start and never made it into Grand Teton.  :(

Union Pacific erected this marker to remind everyone that the railroad built the town.  

A $500k John Deere 9RT tracked tractor to groom the packed snow road in winter.  My dream job!
