Yellowstone trip; day 2, part 3.

After our delicious lunch in Canyon Village, we headed to see some waterfalls.

Bison.

Not shown, the idiocy of people getting WAY too close to him!

Upper Falls.

Descending down.

Photo opportunity.

Closer...

Almost there!

The Yellowstone River was RAGING!!

Whoa.

I estimate the water was going at least 30 mph.

Over the falls!

Skyler looking over the railing.  He was very cautious and had great respect for the power of the water.

Grand Canyon of Yellowstone.

Like a painting is what Mommy said.

Wow.

Higher view of the Lower Falls.

I got to hand it to the Park Service, whoever was crazy enough to pour cement on the edge has my vote for bravest ever.

Misty.

One more shot.

Checking to make sure he got the right shot.

Up we go!

Raven at the top.

He was pretty bold.

His buddy.

Yet another.

Upper Falls.

I have video to upload that will show the power and velocity of the water.

Unbelievable!

Churn and burn!

Green.

Again, Skyler showed great respect toward the falls.

Peeking through the rail.

Straight down.

Green and mossy edges.

Wow.

Like a painting.

What it looks like to stare death in the face safely from the edge.

Undercutting of the bank.

Southwest view.  Note the tiers.

Back out on the plains.  Great clouds.
Day 2, part 4 tomorrow.  Yellowstone Lake.  It was freezing!
