A walk to Camelot Park.

We walked to Camelot Park Friday afternoon.  Skyler was thrilled to go to a new park.  The neighborhood does not live up to the park name however, what a shithole!!

Nice playground!  Why does the nicest playground belong in the worst neighborhood?

Teaching him to spin around by thrusting his weight back and forth.

Jingle Bells!

Skyler and Artemis started to sing "Jingle Bells" together Thursday night.  There was a seizure inducing Santa Clause display complete with strobe lights!

A night out on the town...

With Artemis!!

We headed downtown last night to enjoy the Christmas lights.  Both kids were out of control most of the time but everyone enjoyed themselves.  The fountain with fire was their favorite part followed by a cup of hot chocolate.

(Photos out of order yet again!!!)

Headed to the Nativity displays.

Waiting for the fire in the fountain to start.

Christmas Day snowman.

We got about 2 inches of wet snow Christmas Eve, not enough to get out a tractor, but enough to build a snowman!

Skyler was sporting a new snowsuit.
Preparing the head.
We got out the snowman kit that Aunt Joann sent him a couple of years ago.
Ta-Da!  He didn't last long, maybe 4 hours is all before he tipped over.

The Last Jedi.

WOW!!!  It was rather entertaining but a little long.

He was a little wiggly and bored towards the end.

Was awesome!  That is all.

Opening a Paw Patrol boat at G&G's from Aunt Karen.  Big thanks to Grandma for cooking an outstanding  Prime Rib dinner yesterday!

The Night Before Christmas.

We headed up to Grandma White's place last night for dinner and to exchange gifts with Altair's family.  Skyler read the book "The Night Before Christmas" to everyone and then we headed back home in the snowstorm.

He climbed right up on my lap after dinner.
Reading.
Showing everyone the book illustrations.

Daddy's little helper.

I finished wrapping presents yesterday and Skyler decided he had better help.  At one point he asked me if I wanted him to help me wrap presents because "it looks like you're having a hard time Dad".😲
He decided he needed to haul each present on his bike.

That's his belt he is using to tie the present down with.
"Ready!"
He went into the exercise room and turned around.
There he goes!
Next!

Snow removal.

Sadly, not the kind that involves green and yellow toys...

Skyler cleared off the patio for us yesterday morning.

Volunteering at the Angel Tree House.

Mommy took Skyler out to the Fairpark yesterday to volunteer with all the Angel Tree donations.  They were out there for 3+ hours and both of them had a wonderful time helping our community.  Lots of faith in humanity restored!

There were a few other kids out there too.

Organizing (playing with) the toys.  Note all the donated bikes!

He was rather proud of his name tag.  The Salvation Army was located right in the horse barn.

Happy.

Last day of school 2017!

As mentioned, yesterday was pajama day at Skyler's school.  They appeared to have had a wonderful time watching a movie, doing some crafts, and exchanging gifts from "Secret Santa".  Ms. Laura mentioned that Skyler requested to do his contract instead of watching the movie!

The kids got to bring a pillow and a blanket to class.  Skyler was happy to share his blanket with a student from class 8.

Secret Santa time.

Making rolled up paper ornaments.

The Secret Santa stash of presents.  :)

Dress like an Elf day.

Mommy got creative and made Skyler an Elf costume over the weekend.  Yesterday was dress like an Elf day and Skyler's costume was a huge hit!  Today is wear your pajamas day, he was up at 6:20 and in his moose jammies ready to go to school.

Complete with green felt shorts!  He got a special "Santa" contract yesterday at school.

Lots of other "Elves" in class yesterday.

Short track speed skating Olympic Trials.

We got up early yesterday and headed to the Utah Olympic Oval to watch the U.S. Olympic speed skating trials.  It was really cool!  I calculated the skaters were averaging 37 miles per hour in the 1000 meter races!

The Zamboni!
He climbed up on my lap at one point.
Mr. Wiggles had to go lean on the railing.
9 laps was 1000 meters and each lap was about 9.5 seconds!
There was some crazy crashes, at one point, a skater had to jump out of the way of 2 others as they skidded across the ice!
Bored.
