These same 5 deer live at the sewage treatment plant all year.  We see them nearly every time we're on this section of the Parkway.

It's not just me!

Skyler wanted to watch some T.V. yesterday afternoon.  He got excited when we saw a preseason baseball game was on.  Not even 2 minutes into watching the Cubs play the A's, he was out!  Something about baseball makes one very sleepy!

I had to crawl out from under him since he laid down next to me.  He had a 2.5 hour long nap!

Everyone had a great Easter this year.

Wow!  What a turnout!  We got there early and it took us an hour to get through the line.  As we were leaving, the line had grown to nearly a mile!

We hiked up to Ensign peak to watch the sunset last night.  While we were sitting and enjoying ourselves, we ran into Mark & Klara!  Such a nice evening!

Nearly back to normal.

We are all recovering from the past week of illness.  Skyler even felt well enough to join us for an evening walk along the Parkway last night.

Nice thing about the one section of the Parkway being closed for construction?  No one else on the trail!  Maizey appreciated being off leash as a result.

Yep.  Definitely feeling better!  He was an eating machine all day yesterday.

Skyler is feeling better.  Now back to my same routine...

Doing a little better.

I hauled Skyler into the Doctor's office yesterday afternoon to make sure he didn't have pneumonia or T.B.  Nope, just the flu.  The Pediatrician assured me that I had been doing the right things and keeping him home from school this week was necessary.  (Had he gone to school 5 days a week, the Doc said to keep him home today too.)  We noticed him perk up a bit yesterday afternoon after he got a new toy from Target on the way home from the Doctor.

We started off yesterday morning a little better than the previous days.  He found his "Tiny" from Dinosaur train costume while I prepped a corned beef in the Crock Pot.

At least for Skyler!  We got up from our death beds to see the street sweeper go by.

Still not good.

Skyler and I are still sick.  I think we may be on the tail end of this crap.  Here's a pic from a week ago when everyone felt good & he matched his (now too short) overalls to his engineer's hat.

Complete with the chills and being hot.  Poor little Skyler, this stuff is terrible!

Sick and tired but getting better.

He wanted to sit on the front porch with me yesterday afternoon while Mommy went for a run.  He lasted about 10 minutes in the warm sun until he fell asleep.  Poor little guy!

So tired!  He looked like a little old man sleeping in a chair!

I carried him inside so he wouldn't get too cold.  He slept like this for another 45 minutes.  That was enough time for me to get a bike ride in since Mommy was now home to watch him.

Sick.

Poor Skyler is sick.  Yesterday was rough, he was running a 102 degree fever.  Thankfully, he rested most of the afternoon.

That's what Skyler has been doing the last 2 days.  He has been a great helper cleaning up the yard and he also has been a great supervisor telling me and Mommy we're doing a great job.

We later cut the seed head off to make his job a little easier.
