A visit to Karen's house.

We made a trip to see my sister yesterday afternoon.  As usual, Skyler was delighted by Karen.  He was pretty upset when he woke up after his nap and realized that Karen stayed at her house when we left.

I had to remove his carseat and take him into his room for his (short) nap.  He was so pissed when he woke up and Karen wasn't here. (His cheeks have cherry juice all over from eating cherries at Karen's)

A hamburger, a haircut, and a hose.

Skyler got a haircut Friday so he could have his 3 year old pictures taken at the conservation garden that night.  I made grilled hamburgers yesterday for lunch, delish!  After lunch, Skyler got into the mister nozzle on the hose.

Fireworks & beer.

We made a trip to Evanston, Wyoming yesterday to get some fireworks and high test beer.  Living in Utah, we're not allowed to enjoy the luxuries that other states have like good beer and cheap fireworks.  The weather was a bit iffy, but we managed to walk along the Bear River Parkway while up in Evanston.

A real Ferrari!!  A Ferrari 430.  His license plate said "Schumi7" for Schumacher's 7 F1 world championships.

A pit stop at Kimball Junction for some Jimmy John sandwiches and we saw this.  Someone augered into the back of a stopped car.  Looked like everyone was alright.

Fireworks and beer!  I think Mommy might have a problem... :)

After our picnic by the river it was time for a walk.

Potty trained!!

After 3 years and at least 10,000 diapers, it only took 2 weeks for him to be potty trained!!!! 

He's still getting an ice cream every time he poops in the toilet.  Both he and I enjoyed a Drumstick yesterday afternoon to celebrate.  :)

Skyler is finally able to use the iPad without throwing it or trying to stomp it.  He got some good YouTube in the other day watching some machines.

He's stopped using his booster seat at the table.  Why not use it to support the iPad?

Lagoon 2.0

Skyler was promised a trip back to Lagoon once he was potty trained.  That happened yesterday.  Grandma & Grandpa came along as part of the promise.  Maybe that was why he wasn't on his best behavior all day.  I think he still had a good time but it wasn't quite like his first time 2 weeks ago.  I'm just glad that he's finally potty trained!

First up was the Lady Bug.  Look at his face!

Next was Red Rock Safari.  He's having a blast!

Moonraker delighted him as well.  At one point he shouted "I love this!"

Mommy and Skyler on the swings.  I forgot to take more pics after this because it was getting so difficult to wrangle him around the park.  He rode a bunch more rides and even Mommy and I got to ride 2 adult rides!  :)

A water day.

Altair entered Skyler in a toddler triathlon a few weeks back and yesterday was race day.  He did really good but wanted to swim more so we set up the backyard kiddie pool.  One thing led to another and he managed to persuade Mommy to get in the pool with him.   After all of that, we headed out to the Great Salt Lake to watch the sunset on the longest day of the year.

We went to Liberty Park yesterday for a work party.  Skyler was running all over & spotted a grapple bucket on a loader.  He was off!

Skyler got a present yesterday for doing so good at potty training this week.  It's officially called "Hand Trux" but he calls it his "bucket arm."
