Memorial Day fun!

We went to my parent's for a BBQ yesterday.  Skyler was of course the star.  He really loved the hammock!

The biggest day.

At least for Skyler.  We started out by riding the beach cruisers to the main city park so he could play on the playground.  After we played on 3 of the playgrounds, we rode home and Skyler got to swim while I grilled some hot dogs.  It was time for a nap.  Nearly 3.5 hours!  Then it was time to camp in our yard.  I decided to try camping out in the yard to see how he would do.  This way we wouldn't have to drive forever for nothing if there was a meltdown.  Skyler was thrilled with the campfire and tent!  We all slept pretty good, a testament to the great day.  Now it's time for a camping breakfast, french toast and BACON!!!

We went to our best couples' friends house on Friday for some Memorial Day fun.  Skyler got to play with Easton who is his same age.  I took some pics of the roses in our backyard.  We have the best dog ever, she and the cat were able to seek and destroy a mouse in the backyard yesterday.  Black and white pets rule!  Skyler is just plain awesome!  Enough said.

I made a delicious barbecued beer can chicken, home made potato salad, and baked beans for dinner last night.  Altair is off for 4 DAYS and I thought we'd start out with a delicious meal to celebrate.
