On this day 32 years ago.

I remember my Dad showing me this in the paper and there might have even been a NOVA special on PBS.  As I recall, the pilot (on the ground flying the plane remotely) came in too low and early causing a spectacular explosion and bursting any hope of a "less explosive" jet fuel additive.
