Christmas hike.

We hiked up toward Desolation, connected with Thayne's, and headed up Thayne's yesterday morning.  Conditions were perfect and everyone got some much needed exercise.

"Boo!"  Trying to scare us by jumping out from behind the tree.

It had just snowed 24 hours earlier and the trees were fantastic!

"What?"  Looking for Chucky squirrel.

Run up the trail!

Someone needed a walking stick.

Marshmallow trail conditions.

I wrote his name in the snow since someone else had written the M.

Maizey took off after Chucky squirrel.

A clearing we stumbled on once we were up Thayne's canyon.

Conifer and cloud greatness.

"Chucky?"

Headed down Thayne's canyon.  There's a shelter up ahead.

Skyler found it.

And headed inside.  He donated his walking stick to the shelter structure.  :)
