Skyler skiing!

Our friend Heather is a ski instructor at Brighton.  She regularly teaches 6 kids at a time.  She has the patience of a Saint!
He insisted on wearing his ski boots out of the rental place.

Getting on the chairlift with Mommy & Heather.

Headed down hill.

Doing pretty good!
Time for a snack back at the truck.

He moved inside the truck bed to warm up and play in his "house".

Dumpster fun!

It's the annual green waste dumpster at our house this weekend.  Skyler is thrilled to; a) have a dumpster; b) be able to help us load the dumpster.  Mommy and I are both near exhaustion though, a big bike ride right before a yard project wasn't the best idea.  So sore today!
Just starting out.
Playing with a tire.

Towards the end of the day, break time!

The Murdock Canal trail.

It is awesome!  More info here.

So nice and wide!  Fresh pavement too.

My ride for the day, the trusty Salsa Mamasita!

We even spotted some ag happening!

Wrong brand, but still cool.
Mega dairy.  Or a former mega dairy.  Note the blue Harvestores.

View from the bench to the West looking at Utah lake.

Back at the trailhead.  Nothing unusual here, just a random stray Longhorn!

"Yaaar!"

Grandma got Skyler a pirate towel this week.
"Avast ye matey's!"

Truth.

My sister found this and posted it to my Facebook page.
Spot on!

Yay Spring!

Of course today it's cloudy, but yesterday was nice!
These have been poking out of the ground since mid February.

Skyler the doggy.

I can remember when he could lay flat in Maizey dog's bed.  :(
He barely fits now!

(Almost) riding without training wheels.

We went to the Parkway so Skyler could try riding his bike without training wheels yesterday.  He's not quite there yet, but is so close!
At the start, he took off!  Mommy got to run!

Training wheels off.

Leaning...

So close!  He wanted me to install his training wheels again right after this.
Waving to the train operator.  Skyler even got him to honk the horn!

Maizey waiting while Skyler checks out how much people are flushing their toilets.

Geese!

Tired...

This is what tired looks like!
Upset in his room one minute, asleep the next!

Mommy, Maizey, and I sat on the porch in the sun while Skyler napped.

An hour later, still snoozing.  (Ignore the clothes mess that he unloaded from his dresser in the background.)
He had a big day Friday and it showed yesterday.  He went swimming, toured his new Montessori school, went for a BIG walk, and played at G&G's Friday evening.  No wonder he was tired!

The difference of one day.

Apocalyptic snow on Tuesday:
Near whiteout!
Sunny and clear Wednesday:
A sunny pet recess!

Thursday, March 5, 2015

"Do you want to build a snowman?"

Skyler and Grandpa did just that yesterday!
Complete with paper cutout eyes, mouth, and heart!

Taller than Skyler!

Skating.

Skyler got to go ice skating for the first time!
All ready to go!  Safety first!

On the ice.

To beautiful to ride.

A sneak peek at Cherubim's road frame built for the North American Handbuilt Bicycle Show (NAHBS) to be held this weekend in Louisville.

Polished steel lugs.  Man, that's a pretty frame!
More frame info here.

The Bruder YouTube channel.

This is his latest craze.  Watching other people play with Bruder toys on YouTube.  The only problem?  Everything is "I want that!" or "May I have one of those?"
Sitting on the newly reupholstered stool.

The sprayer video is new.

Riverwalk.

We managed to get a walk in yesterday before any storms.  This time we walked on the other side of the river.
Pretending to take my picture.

The playground at the apartments across the river is really nice!

Climbing to the top.

Now he can get closer to the signal!
"It changed to orange!" he said.

"Look how many people are flushing their toilets Daddy!"  Yes, this is true.  That is the water discharging from the sewage treatment plant.

Other side of the river.

The hound being concerned that Skyler isn't listening or catching up to us.
Here he comes!

Leaning on the top rail of the bridge hoping to find a fish below.
