Carving a pumpkin.

This year marks the first year he has carved one all by himself.

Carving out a train design.

So much concentration!

18 years of trying.

We finally grew our own cabbage!

Look at that!
Simply gorgeous.
What better than to serve the cabbage with corned beef and red potatoes.

Camoflage!

Skyler hiding in the massive arugula patch Saturday before I tilled the garden.

Pretty good!

19 years later...

The corn plant that Mommy had in her office when I first met her, is blooming!

The blossoms open in the evening, they smell exactly like gardenia flowers.

The final weekend pics.

Whitney took a picture of us on the cliff from below.
Our new ride in front of us on the cliff.
Saturday night's sunset.  I truly feel Mom was with us that evening.
Damn, that's  cool.

A short hike to a cave.

Looking west from the cave.
Cave.
It was a steep scramble up to the cave.
We rode in the Jeep to get to the cave.

GREAT success!

The weekend of camping in our new motorhome was incredible!  No issues, and it's really kind of amazing cooking in a kitchen in the middle of nowhere.

We stopped at the rest stop just outside Wendover so Skyler could see the salt flats.

Getting set up at camp.  The dog was miserable the entire time.

Shakedown run.

We're headed out to the West Desert in the motorhome today with the girls.  Stay tuned for pics later in the weekend.

On the phone with Grandpa.

We continue our online learning.  He's usually done by noon.  We still call Grandpa every afternoon at 3:30.  Skyler loves to ask Grandpa all kinds of questions!

Blogger has taken a turn for the worse lately.  I'm not able to upload pictures anymore.  Stay tuned.

Watching the dogs.

We got to watch the girls' dogs last weekend.  Skyler was a huge helper by playing with them and helping to walk them.  This was the first time Dakota had been left alone, she did great!

He asked Grandpa about relays.

So Grandpa built a complete railroad signal circuit in his shop!  Skyler was so delighted and amazed.  He's lucky to have such and amazing Grandpa who lives so close and is so involved in our lives.  (I'm lucky to call him Dad.)

Note the green signal in the background.  Just like a real signal circuit, if the track power  is shorted, the signal goes to red for safety.

A project.

The new motorhome was supposed to fit next to the house.  Wrong, too tall!  Solution?  Dig down using the tractor to lower the grade.  Success!

Skyler and I got started Thursday by stripping off the gravel.  We then watered it to soften the soil.
We took about 8 inches off using the 425 and loader.  It only took about an hour.
The lawn took a beating!
Done digging.  Not pictured, the gravel being re-spread.
Success!  It fits!
