Butterfield Canyon vs. 2.0

We rode the Fat Bikes up the road at Butterfield canyon.  We only made it 3.1 miles in an hour of riding but we definitely got a good workout!  Someone mentioned that Fat Bike miles are like dog years, 1 mile equals 7 and that's probably closer to the truth!  We even had to pedal going back down the canyon there was so much resistance from the snow and 5" tires.

5" tire.

Gorgeous!

Storm was to roll in last night.  We got snowed on pretty good, it looks to be at least 4" out on the ground this morning.

Here comes Mommy!  It was plenty warm grinding up the canyon.

The pond from the mine drain is still liquid.  It even has water cress growing.

Storm clouds rolling over the Oquirrh Mountains.

We spotted this herd of elk on the way home.  They were eating some tasty wheat stubble.
