Launch Abort System test.

We drove the 100 miles up to the "Rocket Ranch" yesterday to watch the LAS test.  Lots of driving, lots of waiting, a delicious picnic lunch, and at exactly 1:00p.m., 4 seconds of fire!  The LAS motor reaches 400,000 pounds of thrust in an eighth of a second!  It accelerates from 0-600 miles per hour in 2 seconds pulling 10 g's on the Orion capsule it is jettisoning from the main SLS rocket in case of emergency.
