Bingham mine overlook.

Last Friday we took my truck up Butterfield Canyon and made it to the 10,000 foot mine overlook.  A short, but steep hike was also accomplished.

(Pics not in order but at least they're there!)

Descending down the steep mountain.

Nice trees.

Ridge trail.

Climbing.

What's this?  Turns out it is a lightening detector.

A peek at the mine.

Of course the dog got too hot!

The mine is so deep now we can no longer see the bottom.

Lone pine.

More mine.

Looking southwest from the overlook.  The cable fencing is new since we were here last.
