Mommy's birthday.

She had a wonderful day!
Skyler came out wearing this while we were enjoying our huevos rancheros for breakfast.

We got a walk in on the Parkway.  Skyler was zooming ahead on his little bike!

Ken's farm.  He still needs to harvest this corn.

Everyone enjoying the day.

Wintery day with a nice view.

Skyler and I made Mommy a spice cake from scratch complete with cream cheese frosting.

New moon visible right before our Xmas light walk last night.

We had our patio "campfire".

Skyler got chocolate milk and toasted marshmallows.

The waning glow of the fire visible though the fire bowl.

We decorated the little (live)  Christmas tree behind the house last week.  This was Skyler's first Xmas tree the year he was born.

Happy Birthday Mommy!

And to my soulmate!  I'm so happy we met 14 years ago, my life wouldn't be complete with out you! Skyler and I love you and think the world of you.
This is the plan for tonight, first go for a walk around the neighborhood to look at Xmas lights, then, it's patio fire time!

Poor Brown Santa!

AKA, the UPS drivers.  I saw this on the way home from dropping Skyler off at school yesterday.
They must be busy if they're having to rent a U Haul trailer!

It'll do until the real mess gets here...

This had nothing to do with Skyler & everything to do with poor luck & gravity.

'Tis the season.

Even Mr. Mittens was in on decorating our tree last weekend!
Skyler plugged in the star and Eddy came over and sat by it.

Someone is excited!

Mommy and Skyler got the tree decorated yesterday.  Skyler found a hiding place behind the tree!
He even added a bunch of ornaments behind the tree just for him.  :)

Yesterday in pictures.

A lot was accomplished!
Hot air balloon spotted at our first Costco stop.

Someone has made a kitty house for the homeless cats at the Parkway.  The stencil on the front reads "no dogs allowed."

Skyler on his bike.

He was balancing really well yesterday!  He could ride almost silently since his training wheels weren't touching the ground.

Maizey dog looking down the Jordan River.

Lots of ducks!

Our second Costco stop, Niner figured out how to ride on the bottom of the cart much to our dismay.

It was now time to pick out a Christmas tree.  We headed out to my friend Luke's farm Petersen Family Farm to find one.

It was probably the best tree lot we've ever been to!  It felt like the tree lot from "A Christmas Story" movie.  :)

Skyler was fond of the goats.

And the fact that he could run all over!

A Pinyon Pine Christmas tree??!!

Skyler wanted this one.

"It's so HUGE!"

We ended up with the Pinyon Pine tree!  It smells so good!  The only downside, when I cut the bottom and counted the rings on the trunk, I found the tree to be 43 years old!  :(   I feel as if I've committed a crime now...

Mr. Mittens had to investigate.

A trip to the big park.

Skyler and Maizey both were in desperate need of exercise yesterday so we headed to the main City park.  It must have worked because when we got back home, both he and the dog took a nap!
Nine wanted to bring his bike.

And he found some snow to ride in!

"Whee!"

There were a couple of times that he lost traction.

Maybe he'll learn to ride his Fat Bike and join us in the snow this winter.

A Deere 350G was digging a HUGE hole West of the library.

Not sure what this will be, the operator was a rookie, he kept slamming the bucket every time he dumped spoil.

It almost looks like a retention basin or irrigation pond.

New playground!

It was the woodland themed version.

The hound doing some cooling.

She must have done at least 25 runs with her flying disc.

Climbing.

It was warm enough that we didn't need gloves.

Maizey climbed up on the playground to see me.  Hot dog!

Inversion sunset.

Brought to you by lots of Kennecott pollution!
It almost looks fake it's so bright and neon like.

So safe!

Skyler wanted his own pair of safety goggles after we were using the chipper/shredder this Fall.  I made a trip to Home Depot yesterday and he got his goggles.
He put them on in the truck and wanted to wear them in to the safety/emissions testing station.

Carpet farming.

This is what he's doing today.  Running all over with his toy tractor in his Paw Patrol jammies and slippers.

I could do this for hours is seemed when I was his age.  :)

"I'm sleeping in my little bed!"

Said Skyler yesterday afternoon as he dragged pillows down the hall.  There never was any actual sleep...
