Fall ATV ride.

Or AVTV according to Skyler.  I loaded up our ATV yesterday morning in preparation for a ride up American Fork Canyon after Mommy got off work at noon.  Lots of traffic later, we arrived at Tibble Fork Reservoir.  We rode for 27 miles and even stopped for a small picnic lunch.  Skyler did really good now that he's tall enough to straddle the seat a little better.  I'm glad we got there early, on the way down there was a traffic jam just to get into the canyon!
Offloaded and ready!

Except there was a little boy that wanted to see the reservoir.  More on that later.

At the half way point, picnic time.

Both of them were underdressed.  It was cool but not cold.

Looking into Heber and Midway.

Getting closer to some golden Aspen goodness.

Found some!

Incredible!

Backlit.

The yellow tree road!

Under golden canopy.

Still heading East.  We were on the road to Cascade Springs.

I've never seen an Aspen with red on it!

They looked like red tipped candles.

Simply Beautiful.

Just a touch of green on them still.

A lone Aspen alongside the conifers.

Meadow goodness.

Albion Basin.  Towards the right at the ridge line, you can just barely make out the new restaurant on Hidden peak. :(

His reward for the day, getting to throw rocks into the water.

Splash!

There was an Osprey fishing toward the East end of the reservoir.

Back to default mode, not listening to Mom or Dad...

We finished off the day with a campfire back on the patio.  :)
