This fantastic weather!

We went for TWO walks yesterday. One in the morning where we got to see some mini goats, and one after Altair got home in the evening on the Jordan River parkway. The nice weather is supposed to turn rainy this evening though. That's alright, Skyler is going to spend the remainder of the nice day with Grandpa.

As mentioned on Friday, we went to the new City Creek mall downtown. It's quite nice, nothing really spectacular though. There is a H&M store there though. H&M is like an Ikea clothing store. Cheap, quality clothing. Including a PIRATE shirt for Skyler!!

Easter afternoon.

We enjoyed a delicious meal and got to meet Karen's friend, Alex.  He is a true gentleman!  Everyone had a great time including Skyler. 

Grandma and Grandpa got Skyler a wagon Easter basket for his first Easter.  As you can see, he loves the wagon!  After he emptied the contents, he got in and had to put all the items in around him.

Skyler got his first Easter basket today!  Complete with a new outfit, some bees wax German crayons, a puzzle and some Crayola 12 month markers.  He mostly want to put them all in his mouth, but there is definitely an urge to draw. Later we are going to Grandma's house for Easter ham dinner and meeting my sisters friend, Alex. :)  A great day to end another great weekend!

Eating is VERY messy!

Skyler loves to eat anything using his hands.  Pasta with sauce is definitely a favorite.  Maizey the dog usually cleans up any spills and will even lick his hands when finished.  YUM! :)

Happy Easter!

It's hard to believe that last Easter, Skyler was still in Altair's belly!  This past year has flown by.  Altair is off today for the holiday weekend, HOORAY!  We are planning on riding the train downtown to the new City Creek shopping mall.  The weather has turned shitty again today and tomorrow.  Sunday is supposed to be nice, a great day for an Easter dinner!  Being the little kid that she is, Altair already dyed eggs for Skyler last weekend using natural home plant dyes.  Beets, spinach, red cabbage and carrots.  Pretty clever!

More antics with the vacuum.

I pretty much have to vacuum the house every other day.  A dog, a cat and a 11 month old equals lots of bits to clean up.  I also like to keep the floors clean because that's where Skyler is.  On the floor.  The vacuum provides endless entertainment to Skyler.  He knows that it lives in the closet.  Just the sound of me getting it out makes him squeal with delight.  Sometimes I carry him while vacuuming, other times I have to put him in his play pen.  After we're done, he has to inspect every inch of the vacuum and take the accessories off.  He's also learned to grunt in the extension tube and that it makes a funny sound.  (Sorry the video is 90 degrees out of phase)

Having a great time!

Skyler is still quite the handful. But he's extra happy this week! Playing and having a bath are yesterday's highlights. He even got to ride on the 425 tractor after I washed it. We're definitely enjoying Spring!

A day inside doing nothing.

Yesterday was way too cold to be outside. Skyler and I hung out watching TV and relaxing in the house.

Skyler got some shoes! He's a little cautious about having them on. It's pretty funny watching him pick his feet way up trying to take steps in them.

A nice (windy) day.

Saturday was exceptionally warm for the last day of March. It was also ridiculously windy. We spent most of the day outside. Altair got potatoes planted and I powerwashed the patio and entertained Skyler. We had some friends stop by to dig some hop rhizomes and we enjoyed some beers on the patio.
