Another trip around the sun!
Happy 77th birthday Dad! I know it's been hard the last 5 years, but I'm glad you persevered and we get to have you in our lives. Skyler is especially lucky to have his Grandpa living only a half mile away.

A few more from Blues night.
The Cadets worked on character development and that involved a teamwork exercise stacking plastic cups without touching them.

Explaining to the junior Cadets.
Cup exercise.
Shaking Commander Taylor's hand after ranking up.
Classroom chaos.
Everyone was having a good time.
They are up to 50 Cadets! I think when he joined last year there were 26.

Chief Master Sergeant!
Look who ranked up last night! Way to go kid!
So serious!
He requested that we get the pins in "the same holes" on his jacket! We tried.
Look how tall he is! Proud parent moment.
He's standing behind the lone cadet leading his flight.

Bike ride!
After a nearly 4 year hiatus due to Skyler not wanting to drink water, we went on a bike ride Friday. Skyler did much better actually drinking and we didn't end up in the hospital with a UTI. Winner, winner, chicken dinner!
He was leading for a while.
Altair was delighted to be on her bike again. I laced up a set of 27.5" wheels for her Mother's Day present. Now the bike "fits" a bit better.

He's off!
I drove Skyler out to Wendover yesterday to begin his weeklong Civil Air Patrol cadet encampment. He was nervous and excited at the same time he said. I'll be posting updates all week from the Wing's photo album of the event. He finishes up the trip Sunday.
We stopped at the I-80 rest stop just outside of town on the Salt Flats for a picture.
Intake. I didn't even get to say goodbye or give him a hug. It was just "get in line"!

Empty marina, everyone was out on the water.

"Let's clean up the motorhome."
The aging dog makes it so we can't leave the house for more than a few hours at a time, so going on an adventure in our motorhome is next to impossible this year. But that doesn't mean we can't at least pull it out of the parking spot and clean it!
He got up on top to blow off any debris before I got started pressure washing.
Several hours later, one clean ride!
I ceramic coated the entire thing for some added protection from the elements.
Note the Google Fiber crew working down the street.
