Thanks Karen!

A special thanks to my sister Karen for posting this on her blog a few days ago.  I too am about ready to sign up for TikTok.

Corn (and crab) Chowder.

I've been craving some corn chowder ever since we got a Costco ad in the mail a few weeks ago featuring some processed corn and crab chowder.  The other two got plain corn chowder last night, I added some crab to mine!  Delicious!

The crab I used is the canned and refrigerated "Handy" brand found at Costco.  So fresh and tasty!

Why can't we have a storm like this here?!

Truckee, California's webcam is rather entertaining during and after a large snow event.  I read that they received 66" of snow since Sunday at Norden up on Donner pass!

Link to the webcam HERE.

Chicken Fried Steak!

I made some homemade chicken fried steak for dinner last night. I forgot to take a picture of my plate, it was SO good!  We had a baked potato and some sweet corn on the side.

I flash fried each side turning twice and finished them on a wire rack in a 350 degree oven.  Not greasy at all.

Quarantine life.

Even the pets are sick of this!

The dog gave up waiting for Mommy to come out of her office yesterday!

Sky's lunch.

I walked in to find this on the counter this morning after online school was finished.

He went downstairs and grabbed a box of Annie's.  Writing "Sky's lunch" on the box only added to the tenderness.

Can you spot the photographer?

I handed him my phone so he could take a pic of the sticker on the loader.  You'd think Deere could at least get the sticker on straight at the factory.

Almost 3 months later...

 The puzzle is finished!

I hadn't worked on it much until yesterday.  We all tag teamed it and finished it last night.

The elusive loader.

After 3 days of trying, we finally got his picture in front of the 544L loader yesterday.

Brand new!  The cemetery appears to be renting it for some dirt work.

The Mandalorian - Spaghetti Western Trailer!

My sister sent this to me yesterday.  It's absolutely perfect.

What a day!

I was in tears...

Dignity has returned in America!

Mind blown!

Up and down.

A bittersweet day today for sure.  It's the start of the Biden/Harris Administration, (amazing), and it marks the second anniversary of Mom's passing (terrible).

Let's hope there's better days ahead now that we got rid of that ass that pretended to be president the last 4 years.

Numb.

I'm having a hard time posting anything this week as you can probably tell.

It's the second anniversary of Mom's passing tomorrow.

Our friend from our earliest days working together passed away due to COVID.

So many other things! Online school is a hopeless drag.

Maybe I can get my shit together and get back to the normal posts after tomorrow...

Damn.

Let's hope it's an easy fix after a premature engine shutdown.  They should have burned for 8 minutes.

Finally!!

Today is the "hot fire" test of the SLS rocket in the Saturn V test stand!  The test is scheduled for 3:00 pm Mountain time.  It feels like a holiday!

Volume UP!!!

This was just a year ago!

Ah yes, the electronic age.

Skyler is obsessed with his new iPad he got for Christmas.  So much so, that we've had to set "screen time" limits.  However, all is not bad as he uses it to watch "Brain Pop" an educational app that covers nearly any subject he has curiosity in.

The headphones are a welcomed new move.  :)

Snack time?!

Every day at 3:00 the pets get fed wet food from a can.  Every day, I'm greeted to this as I retrieve their cans from the basement!

BEGGING!!!  It's like they're starving each day...

This is January?!

Skyler was playing Nerf gun Saturday afternoon in the backyard without a jacket.  We really need some precipitation or this Summer is going to be bad.

He later got Mommy to come out and play Nerf gun.

The best thing about 2021 so far!

I don't use Twitter and now neither does Orange 45!

Bwahahah!!!!!  About damn time.
