Chicken nuggets...

On a pizza!

Skyler said it was delicious.  I'll have to take his word for it.

Helping out at school.

We headed to school Saturday morning to prepare a spot for the new school greenhouse.

The kids REALLY liked to use the tamper!

Christmas light installer Skyler.

I didn't have to climb the ladder this year!

First trip up the ladder.

WAY at the top!  He showed no fear whatsoever.

First dose!

Finally!!  We go back on December 3rd for his second dose and he'll be fully immune by December 24th! A Christmas miracle.

He was a trooper! What a momentous day.

First year.

After 16 years of growing, our cottonwood tree finally turned yellow in the Fall.  Usually it just turns brown and drops leaves.

This was from a couple weeks ago.  No leaves left on the tree now.

Clean.

I began the task of shampooing the carpet in the house last week.  I have one room left to do today.

Not bad for 18 year old carpet.

Second night of trick-or-treating?!

Yep!  Only in Utah when a holiday falls on a Sunday.

We ran into next door on our way to see Grandpa.

Catalogging his haul.

Trick-or-treat!

I hadn't been out trick or treating with Skyler for a few years.  It was a nice treat to see all the kids having such a good time.

A rather well decorated house on our street.

Lots of kids out.

Fighter pilot Skyler.

The majority of the neighborhood was handing out treats.

"Having a party, a Halloween party."

Mommy's boss had one Hell of a party Friday evening.  Complete with live music and catering.  It was nice to pretend to be normal even if it was just a few hours.

There was decor everywhere.

Complete with her own personal grave yard.

Rented tents and tables.

One of two bands.

Everyone enjoying themselves.

The catering tent.  Delicious Carne Asada tacos were served.  Note the 160 pound dog!

Pirate ship!  It had animatronic skeletons on board.

As it grew darker, the lights really started to pop.

Another county marker.

We checked of Box Elder County on our way to a Halloween party Friday afternoon.

It was a little hard to locate.

Frankenweenie and fighter pilot getting the rubbing.

Historic Box Elder courthouse.

Halloween parade at school!

One of his classmates had this killer NASA costume.

Fighter pilot Skyler.

Pretty good!

A quick trip to Kimball Junction in the rain/snow last Saturday.

To get one more County marker rubbing.

We had to dry the brass portion off using paper towels in order to get a successful rubbing. :)

While in Wendover...

One must always stop at "Lee's Discount Liquor!"

Wine is at least half the price than it is here in Utah.

Mommy had a shopping spree! :)

Wendover Airfield part 2.

We continue our exploration of the historic site.

Work underway on a flight line hangar.

A coal storage bin for one of the buildings.  Imagine how cold it was during the War, tarpaper barracks and no insulation.

Mommy checking out a hangar full of T-33 airplanes.

What?!

The airport has good taste in tractors. :)

A Douglas C-54 squired by the museum.

The 99% restored "Enola Gay" hangar.

Pictures don't do this hangar justice.  It's incredible!

Barrack row.

The boiler is still intact in the Enola Gay hangar!!

The coal storage bin outside to feed the boiler.  Note the coal on the ground!  Think how many people and supplies it took to keep a base of 22,000 people alive every day.

A trip to see Historic Wendover Airfield.

They have done a phenomenal job restoring and maintaining the historic airbase.

The main reason for our trip, the Tooele county marker.

View from the 60' WWII control tower.

Looking inside was like stepping back in time.  Nearly everything was still vintage WWII.

Looking south across the Air Force west desert test and training range.

Vintage WWII radios with the reflection of Skyler in the window with Mommy across the tower.

Skyler and Mommy 60 feet up!

Vintage backup generator at the base of the tower in its own building.

We packed a lunch and ate it on the tailgate in the parking lot.

Part 2 tomorrow.
