Homemade Runza!

Seeing Tim Walz order $500 of Runza sandwiches for his Secret Service Detail last week made me crave a Runza.  So I found a recipe and we got to work.

Cabbage, onions, seasoned salt, pepper and beef.

They were delicious!  Exactly how I remember them in Nebraska.

Happy 77th birthday Dad!  I know it's been hard the last 5 years, but I'm glad you persevered and we get to have you in our lives.  Skyler is especially lucky to have his Grandpa living only a half mile away.

We caught this last night on TV and Skyler was delighted.

SUAS 2024.

Small Unmanned Aerial Systems aka, drone academy was held last week in Price, Utah.  They got to stay in the Utah State University dorms and now Skyler thinks college looks promising.

Bike ride!

After a nearly 4 year hiatus due to Skyler not wanting to drink water, we went on a bike ride Friday.  Skyler did much better actually drinking and we didn't end up in the hospital with a UTI.  Winner, winner, chicken dinner!

He was leading for a while.

Altair was delighted to be on her bike again.  I laced up a set of 27.5" wheels for her Mother's Day present.  Now the bike "fits" a bit better.

He's off!

I drove Skyler out to Wendover yesterday to begin his weeklong Civil Air Patrol cadet encampment.  He was nervous and excited at the same time he said.  I'll be posting updates all week from the Wing's photo album of the event.  He finishes up the trip Sunday.

We stopped at the I-80 rest stop just outside of town on the Salt Flats for a picture.

Intake.  I didn't even get to say goodbye or give him a hug.  It was just "get in line"!
