A special visitor in class.

Since they are talking about hearts in class this month, Mommy arranged for Grandma White to talk to Skyler's class about her experience helping to develop artificial hearts.  Specifically, by helping care for the cattle they were using to test artificial hearts.

Skyler next to Grandma.  The cow, named Sirius, with an artificial heart is pictured on the screen.  He was the first cow with an artificial heart to live 100 days after the surgery.  

Talking about Barney Clark.  I remember being in kindergarten and hearing about Barney Clark on the nightly news.
