Anacapa.

We started out on the island by climbing up 90 stairs!

Dock view looking Southeast.
One of the freshwater valves has seen better days.
Our group included several volunteers and scientists working to restore some native plants on the island.
People brought their kayaks along to kayak around Anacapa!
Mommy taking a photo break on the stairs.
Quite the climb.
At the top.  The crane building.  The crane was out of service for some unknown reason.
Could be out of service due to no hoist cable?!
Grandpa keeping a keen eye on Grandma.  She did great!
Person braving death planting native plants!
The Anacapa "main street".
View North.  Gorgeous!
South.  Lighthouse (with foghorn)  and the upper portion of the crane.
An unexpected surprise!  John Deere 2305 tractor being worked pretty hard on the island.  Too bad the wheel weights are backwards.
More from the Island tomorrow.
