A day trip to Stansbury Island.

We loaded up the truck and headed out to Stansbury Island yesterday.  It was epic!

At the trailhead.  There were lots of rednecks shooting guns! :(

Northwest view.

Climbing higher.

We decided this was some type of poppy.

Southwest view from the top.  Stansbury mountain range.

Panoramic view.

It looked like the top of Little Cottonwood canyon in summertime.

The lake was gorgeous.
Cairn.

Skyler added a couple of rocks to the cairn.

This remnant of a tree made me happy.

Back down to the lake level.

Skyler was infatuated with these wooly bear caterpillars.
We spotted this 844K Deere loader on the way to the North end of the island after our hike.  I'll have part 2 with the pics on here tomorrow.
