Swinging and crawling.

The swinging.  Skyler on the swings near our house.

The crawling is a different kind.  It's a 1950 Caterpillar D6 ag tractor.  Very similar to a dozer but no blade and auxiliary hydraulics to be able to lift rear implements.  This belongs to a very good friend of mine who's farm I visited this past Saturday.  He has an extensive collection of antique farm equipment and construction equipment.  He uses mostly antique tractors to farm with.
These big diesels required the use of a "pony" engine to start the diesel engine.  You would start a smaller gasoline first, then engage it's clutch to turn over the big diesel.  No electric start.

Note the beautifully cast radiator surround.  This tractor spent most of it's life on the dry farms west of here.
